Yeh, I was there...when they announced the name I initially thought it was me! Had to settle for a crummy Pride Pack!

I would LOVE to go to this game - just to see Cameron Indoor would be a thrill.

And yes they do camp out - I've been to the campus during hoops season and it's a legit tent city of college kids out there! Pretty awesome, gotta love college sports!

If you want to go to an iconic building - The Palestra in Philly on the Penn Campus is Numero Uno. Nothing like it to my knowledge - you can walk around the inside of the arena and see the entire history of the Big 5 and the acoustics are incredible. A must see!

I wasn't thinking about a visiting team allotment.

I saw us lose to Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA. It was exciting except for us losing. Laurel, Irving, Rood, Kammerer etc. They were a good team.

I would argue that the Allen Fieldhose, Kansas' venue has more appeal. It was built in 1919 and one of the people who help build it was John Wooden himself, driving to California after leaving Indiana. It is a vitual museum and packed with memorabilia from all their NCAA Championships.

Been to games at both, love 'em both but Allen Fieldhouse gets my vote.

Hofstra played ND at the Palestra in the 1977 NCAAT. I was there. Who else attended?

I was there at the Palestra for the Notre Dame game. They fouled out our entire front court...could have won that one!

Speaking of iconic buildings for basketball games how about the Hinkle field house in Indiana where they used to play the high school basketball championships. Butler plays there and it was built in 1927. Parts of the basketball championship game in the movie HOOSIERS was shot there.

BIG day brewing for the CAA...

- Drexel just upset ranked Villanova in the big 5
- Uncw with the early lead at #12 Kentucky
- Charleston playing ranked FAU tonight after beating a top 50ish Liberty team yesterday
- Northeastern beat Odu (and took 51 FTs!!!)
-Delaware lost a 1pt heartbreaker on the road to a solid Ohio team

Might be some real quality depth at the top of the league this year! (We'll just have to forget about NC A&T, ranked 361 out of 362 yikes!)

UNCW in fact beat #12 Kentucky 80-73. How about that. Good for the CAA.

FAU already lost this year to Bryant. I wouldn't be surprised if COC takes them down.

Villanova this year had already had losses to Penn and St Joes but did beat UNC.

We just need Duke to stop losing so we get our chance!

Has the CAA ever had multiple ranked wins on the same day before??

I seriously doubt that just one win is incredible knocking off a top 20 team.

UNCW’s second win vs. a ranked team and first road win vs. a ranked team in 34 tries.
Also the third biggest upset (-18.5) vs. a Calipari-coached team. A reminder that college basketball is still the best sport on earth since UNCW lost by at East Carolina as HU was thrashing South Florida and only three games prior, lost by 30 at App State.

FAU closed extremely well vs. Charleston, so 2 1/2 out of three vs. Top 20 teams not a bad a day at all for the league (that we keep trashing around here).

Split between the top and bottom of the conference has to be about as wide as any league's... according to current Kenpom rankings CAA has 5 schools b/w 100-150 (hofstra, drexel, uncw, charleston, delaware), and 5 schools worse than 300 (Elon, Hampton, Campbell, William & Mary, and the 2nd worst team in all of D1 nc a&t).

If it wasn't for the stupid expansion league would be probably ranked as well as any year since the likes of VCU and George Mason left

So to break it down as far as conference is concerned we're ranked 22 out of 32 and even the American East is ranked higher at 18. This is embarrassing and like you said the "deadwood" in this conference is dragging our overall ranking down big time. I'm pretty sure most people would agree that our best teams would beat the top teams in the AE. Vermont is at the top and they're always good but what do u have after them.

So in terms of the NET COC is 52, we're 85, Towson 130, UNCW 141, Drexel 189 and Delaware 224. Draw your own conclusions from these rankings.
