I hate to say it but believe the status quo stays with the lacrosse program too much politics involved and Seth is a good person and well liked. I know this shouldn't be the bottom line criteria but certainly seems to be. As for the women's basketball program I think we need to give this program a little leeway. I see some rays of hope here. Lets see what the new recruiting class looks like before we throw Danielle under the bus and run her over numerous times. I'm an eternal optimist just see something good going to happen with this program. A feeling if you will.

Lacrosse used to be a flgship program for Hofstra. I remember going to games vs Johns Hopkins, etc and beating them at Shuart Stadium...place was packed.
What you see now is a far cry from that. Seth is a great and upstanding guy but something is broken and its up to Cole to fix this program and get it back on track.

Hopkins, Duke, ND, Hofstra once drew good crowds and played great lax. There has been a slow deterioration of all aspects of the program and its become obvious.

The Inside Lacrosse website lists the RPI's of all the Division 1 lacrosse teams. HU is listed as #60 out of 76 D1 teams. I believe this record speaks for itself.

I understand venting about this but the writing is on the wall apparently that this administration doesn't care much about lacrosse here. If they did they would have acted by now.

A complete disgrace. Cole is so cowardly about it that its never even addressed. Its like something that is not or cannot be talked about. He seems cowed by Metzger and Tierney. Pathetic. Get a pair for goodness sake.

At this point I've got to beleive even Metzger is ready to jump ship.

We finally flip the script and beat CAA opponent Monmouth in OVERTIME 8-7. We blow a 3 goal lead as usual but wonder of wonders we WIN in the extra session.
We HAD to win this game to have any chance of making it to the CAA playoffs.

Congratulations to G Sean Henderson on sharing CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors in the win over Monmouth. Henderson reached 100 career saves in the game and now has 103:

Once again Newsday issues a top 100 high player list, this time for boys lacrosse. The one item that is consistent in all of these is that HOFSTRA HAS NO COMMITS ON THE LIST!
You can say that LI kids want to go away and there are plenty of them but I count approimately five commits EACH for Stony Brook and St. John's!

What are we doing?

I wonder how many actual D1 players are out there from Long Island in basketball, softball but lacrosse crazy off the charts numbers of D1 caliber players. I'm really not that surprised because these kids have options and would rather play for a school that's top 25 I would imagine. How far the once might have fallen and continue to fall. We're currently ranked #54 in the lacrosse polls. The only thing consoling about this is that we're ranked ahead of S.B. who's 58. This is out of 76 teams. This situation is crying begging for an intervention. HELP!! The Ivy league has 7 schools in the top twenty.

Stu, the Big East is NOT a P5 conference. The Power Five conferences are the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Big Ten Conference, Big 12 Conference, Pac-12 Conference, and Southeastern Conference (SEC).
