https://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadca ... ?id=519432 will have statistics for North Carolina A&T vs. William & Mary. W&M is favored by 4.5 with an over/under of 138.5, which makes a score of 71.5-67. KenPom predicts W&M to win 73-70 with a 60 percent chance of winning.

https://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadca ... ?id=519431 will have statistics for Elon vs. Hampton. Elon is favored by 3.5 with an over/under of 146.5, which makes a score of 75-71.5. KenPom predicts Elon to win 77-74 with a 62 percent chance of winning.

Edit: W&M is starting Chase Lowe (sophomore guard, 12.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists), Sean Houpt (senior guard, 8.0 points), Trey Moss (sophomore guard, 13.5 points), Gabe Dorsey (junior guard, 13.8 points), and Caleb Dorsey (junior forward, 7.2 points, 5.9 rebounds). North Carolina A&T is starting Camian Shell (sophomore guard, 12.6 points, 4.1 assists), Landon Glasper (sophomore guard, was questionable due to injury, 20.9 points), Jalal McKie (freshman guard, 8.1 points), Evan Joyner (freshman forward, 3.5 points), and Nikolaos Chitikoudis (freshman forward, 6.7 points, 5.1 rebounds). It must be extremely unusual to start three freshman and no juniors or more experienced. Jeremy Robinson and Jason Murphy have started a majority of their games, but not today.

https://www.flohoops.com/live/97170 has video.

Edit: It took 3:16 for what will be one of the most unique shots of the tournament when W&M's Trey Moss shot a three that got wedged between the rim and backboard. W&M got the ball from the possession arrow, had their next shot blocked, and then scored. The video has circles to show how many timeouts each team has left. It has four circles filled in for each team, which is correct, but it needlessly has seven circles that could be filled in. NBA teams get seven timeouts. It does not include the teams' records, seeds, or amount of fouls.

W&M leads 10-9 at the first timeout. Gabe Dorsey (6), Glasper (5), and Chitikoudis (4) have scored the most, and Gabe Dorsey attempted 4 field goals already.

Edit: W&M subbed in four players before NC A&T brought anybody in. It is 11-11.

Edit: W&M ended the half on a 7-0 run to lead 35-30, which is the largest lead for either team. NC A&T's Landon Glasper scored 14. W&M's Gabe Dorsey scored 11. W&M's Chase Lowe had 5 points, led all players with 9 rebounds, and led all players with 3 assists. W&M committed only 3 fouls and 2 turnovers, but a fan complained that they missed 9 layups. They made only 6 of 10 free throws, while NC A&T did not attempt any.

W&M pulled away to lead 79-60 and win 79-62. Gabe Dorsey, Trey Moss, and Chase Lowe tied for W&M's lead with 18 points. Lowe had 16 rebounds and 6 assists. NC A&T's Landon Glasper led all players with 21 points, but shot 8-21 including threes 2-10, and 2-10 in the second half. Nikolaos Chitikoudis had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Uchenna Kellman-Nicholes got a late technical foul and did not score. Normally people who get technicals without scoring are coaches, and I wish I could find out how rare it is for a player to get a technical and not score. W&M became the third team this season to have at least 79 points, at least 44 rebounds, and 4 or fewer turnovers against a Division I team, and one of the previous two was High Point's overtime loss to us on November 22, 2023. Stony Brook did that this season against St. Joseph's (Long Island).

The second game started at 4:41 P.M. Hampton started Tedrick Wilcox Jr. (guard), Jordan Nesbitt (guard), Ford Cooper Jr. (guard), Jerry Deng (forward), and Ja'Von Benson (forward). Elon started Nick Dorn (guard), Max Mackinnon (guard), TK Simpkins (guard), Isaac Harrell (forward), and Sam Sherry (center).

Edit: Hampton led 34-20, and they lead Elon 34-25 at halftime. Elon missed two free throws, got an offensive rebound, and made a three. Hampton's Jerry Deng led all players with 9 points. Jordan Nesmitt was second on Hampton with 5 points. He had 5 assists, and nobody else on either team had more than 1. Elon shot all three kinds of shots poorly. Elon had TK Simpkins score 8, with 5 of them free throws, and Max Mackinnon score 1. LA Pratt and Sipkins tied for Elon's scoring lead. Isaac Harrell shot 0-3 with all of his attempts being threes, and led all players with 6 rebounds. I would think it would be rare for a rebounding leader to have only attempted threes. Elon had more second chance points 11 to 0, which means Hampton had more first chance points 34 to 14. Hampton had 7 fast break points, which Elon had none of. Elon had a horrible ratio of 3 assists to 11 turnovers.

Elon led 2-0 and 4-2, but went down 14. Elon took their next lead with 4:16 left. Hampton could have held for the final shot while down 1. They had a shot blocked, and inbounded the ball with 7.9 seconds left. Elon called timeout, but their defense did not work, as Hampton scored at the basket with 6.3 seconds left to go up 56-55. Elon missed the last shot, letting Hampton win the upset and get to face Delaware tomorrow night.
