beware! New scam ahead

So, as we approach spring break, a new scam has emerged
I got a call today claiming to be the Miami Police Department saying that my grandson got into a car. Accident is in jail and needs money to get be bailed out.
Only problem is my grandson is 14 and was with me at the time of the call
I called up the Miami Police Department, who said that the scammers have cloned their number along with those of the Daytona Beach police and the Fort Lauderdale police
Unfortunately, there are gullible seniors and parents who will panic and send money to these people
I have contacted my local legislator, Kathy Hochuls office, and Bruce Blakeman s office please spread the word to family and friends

Good work Stu thanks for the info. this is going on everyday of the week. IRS scammers and social security recipients are high on the list of people to scam also.
