Women's basketball vs Drexel 2/24 @7PM

We play Drexel for the 2nd team this season and arguably the best team in the conference. They have the best record at 19-7 11-4 in the conference. They also have the leading scorer in Keishana Washington who scores 28 points a game. This will be another very tough contest for us. They beat us by 12 in Philly in the first game 69-57. We need to score in 60's at least to have a chance in this game and play very good D.

we shoot like 28% for the game.
we fall to 9-17 overall and 3-12 in conference
with UNCW winning tonight we are only now 1 game ahead of last place UNCW in the CAA.

I honestly can't say anything good about this team after going to this game. Really no improvements in their O sets, game in and game out forcing passes inside a large percentage of which result in turnovers(25). Drexel scored 19 points of turnovers unforced errors on bad passes just bad decision making. This all comes back to this coaching staff who will have to own this mess and what a mess it is. We have no chance of winning with no offense and Brandy Thomas not scoring up to par. Ineza scores 12 half of which came from the foul line shoots 3-11 and 0-3, Emma scores 11 on 4-11 3-7. Brandy the next highest scorer getting 5 points on 2-6 shooting and 1-2 from the FT line. Also had 8 rebounds. Her offensive game has been way off. Ally zero points and 4 turnovers. Just awful game all around for us painful to watch. This team is in dire need of an intervention.

The coach in the post presser keeps her composure and answers all the questions honestly. I'm sure she's very disappointed in this team and the sloppy turnovers a lot of which r unforced caused by ill advised passes. She seems to have the same old narrative saying we need to clean it up but in reality it doesn't get cleaned up. Brandy Thomas made us a decent team offensively but since her injury has not scored much. You're not going to beat anybody on the backs of Ineza and Von-Essen. There's only so much scoring you can expect from them. You have a PG that doesn't score and a player like Fargo who plays 18 minutes that gives u 3 points a game. It's overwhelming. The coach was asked what were the positives from this game and looked at the box score and said few and far between!! Now there's an honest answer.
