mens lax vs Navy

Post by stuball888 »

thats more like it. While we lost 13-12 this team is showing signs of life. We got off to a slow start trailing 5-1 after 1 quarter. Then proceeded to out play Navy the rest of the way. Team still has some flaws but played well against a quality opponent.

I have a feeling this will be more of the same until ST is gone.

Would love to see this team go on a tear and bring back some nostalgia.

Kudos to the kids for the comeback against Navy, but as Hofstra pointed out its another tough loss which has been all too common under ST. A few years ago I did an analysis and posted it on this board (hoping to find it) and I think something like close to 60% of the losses under ST have been by one goal. It is really uncanny. ST's teams seem to play 3 of the 4 quarters at high level, but drop the ball (sometimes literally) for one quarter and it usually results in an "L."

Lately it looks like were getting smoked early on and then fight our way back to make it respectable...don't know if we get better as the games goes on or if our oppoents relax a bit with big leads.
Nevertheless the losses keep mounting.
