WBB vs Stony Brook 2/12 @1

Post by triplec2195 »

I thought this game was at 2 but no so I started watching it into the 2nd quarter and much to my surprise we were winning by 5 points. That didn't last long as we give up the lead in the last four minutes of the half. We're playing without Brandy Thomas who must be injured. Even though we had a miracle win over Towson that won't repeat itself here. We won't be able to win this game without Thomas. We're down 35-29 as we gave up a couple of three's before the half just lax D killing us and our inability to score consistently. Swint, Ineza and Von-Essen all with 8 points in the half. Nine turnovers and 1 assist. Much too much one on one play.

Really being shorthanded without Thomas and not having Ross-Barnes backing up Swint hurt us in this game. Joseph-Bernard filled in well but had no points and 3 rebounds in 13 minutes. Credit to Swint for a really nice game 8-10 2-2 FT's with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Emma 14 points 6-10 2-6 with 2 assists and only 1 turnover. Ineza finished with 11 points on 4-8 and 2-2 from three 1 assist and 4 turnovers. Fargo 8 points on 1-7 1-5 5-6 from the FT line 5 rebounds and 2 turnovers. Rosi scored 7 points on 3-8 with 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Ally Knights only 1 point and 1 assist in this game. Not a great game. Again 19 turnovers 6 assists with S.B. scoring 22 points off our turnovers. We lose the game on once again not protecting the ball. Sloppy ball handling and if we had Thomas in this game it could have gotten very interesting but we played competitively and need to give them credit for playing hard.
