With the fouls at this rate, we may run out of players...

HU closes it out, 82-77!

GOOD WIN!

18-20 from the line after starting 0-4 from there over the first 28+ minutes, in a 5-point game.

(what was that old debate on the CAAZone board about FTs not mattering much?)

Wow. I know they're young, all freshmen, whatever whatever. Who cares?!?! Not all W's are created equally- this one was a big one.

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketb ... =400809340 says Bernardi made a three-pointer with 3:05 left in the first half to go up 34-25.

http://warrennolan.com/basketball/2016/rpi has California State Bakersfield and Oregon tied for first in the RPI and Hofstra and Long Beach State tied for third.

We were severely undersized and undermanned. Down to 5 players at the very end, and some of those 5 had 4 fouls, and we still found a way to win. What an incredible day for the entire program. There are a lot of happy mbb alums on Twitter (and alums and fans in general).

Anyone know why JWF didn't play?

http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=111142 has the box score. Hofstra led for 27:35, trailed for 7:22, and was tied for 5:03. Hofstra had 3 more rebonds, 39 to 36. Nobody on either team had a double-double. 6 out of 10 players used by Florida State had last names starting with B.

http://espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=400809340 is the Associated Press recap.

http://gohofstra.com/news/2015/11/20/MB ... ath=mbball is Hofstra's recap.

Those AP recaps are just regurgitating the box score.

A small amount of games (possibly ones with one or both teams ranked in the AP Poll) get longer AP articles such as http://espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=400809392 but most AP recaps are like you said.

South Carolina beat DePaul. Hofstra will play South Carolina on Sunday at 9:00 P.M. on CBS Sports Network. Does anybody know the last time Hofstra played consecutive games against opponents in top conferences? This day 12 years ago Hofstra lost to Georgia Tech in the Preseason NIT and followed that with losses to Providence on November 22, 2003 and Maryland on November 29, 2003. I don't know if that was the most recent example of Hofstra playing consecutive games against opponents in top conferences.

Hofstra football alum reposted hofstrambb's victorious locker room picture on Instagram and added a caption about the dirty Dutch beating the Seminoles. The official NY Jets Instagram liked his post. That's pretty awesome!

Bernardi is ridiculous, I'm surprised when he misses at this point
