WRHU Sports

Post by WRHU Sports »

Hey there Dutchmen Fans! WRHU Sports is beginning a new year including a brand new Social Media movement. Our new management team hopes to build up the brand of WRHU Sports and Hofstra Pride Athletics as a whole. I'll be updating this every Monday Morning in the future with every broadcast we'll be having along with the WRHU members on the call and the outlets it will be broadcast on.

Some games will be preempted to online channels due to New York Islander games.

Games on http://www.gohofstra.com/ can be found via the specific game preview page. WRHU.Org is self explanatory, go there and click the orange banner where it says "Listen Live" and then choose which device you are listening on. And the "Hofstra Alternative Web Channel (HAWC)" is at http://hawc.streamwrhu.net/newPlayer/?hawc

THE NEW APP IS NOW AVAILABLE IN THE ITUNES APP STORE. Our illustrious tech-whizz Marc Silverman has developed a new WRHU App which IS NOW available in the Apple App Store. It provides a HAWC stream and an 88.7FM Stream and is very fancy, we are all very excited. If you would like the direct link to see that it exists and/or download this through your Mac/iPhone web browser here's the link https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wrhu/id1071643698?mt=8

All that being said, I hope you all love our broadcasts and I will make sure this is updated regularly and of course, as the most dedicated Pride fans out there, let us know of any feedback you think could help us make your listening experience better!

With several former mens and womens basketball players overseas and in Puerto Rico can WRHU put in a segment of where they are now. Gives us what teams they are playing on and their stats. Also maybe even a phone interview would be nice.

We are working on a few different guests. Cannot confirm anything specific yet, but will update this every week with the guest of the week. Towards the summer we will try to get as many former players and coaches as possible.

Thanks for the update! I'd love to tune in but won't be able to listen due to dinner plans that night. Will the interviews be archived anywhere online?

A Euro 2016 soccer qualifier between Serbia and Albania was stopped due to violence. You can read about it at http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29642545
