Randy Frankel and Kevin McDonnell were part of Hofstra's '76 and '77 NCAA teams.

Frankel is a co-owner of the Tampa Bay Rays and is a big supporter of the program.

Seem to recall Bruce Schwarz 78-81 was walk on after the NCAA Squads?

Back when I was at Hofstra - graduated in '86 - John Bilello was a unique walk-on. He played 2 separate seasons on the hoop team (84-85; 86-87) and got some real minutes in 86-87. He was also the lead on the Hofstra pitching staff most of his 4 years - and held more then a few pitching records. My memory also seems to recalling him suiting up as a backup QB his freshman year.
