Accusations Against Georgetown Men's Basketball Players

Post by EvanJ »

https://collegebasketball.nbcsports.com ... transfers/ is titled "Resurgent Georgetown beset by legal trouble and transfers." It starts by saying "Georgetown players Myron Gardner, Josh LeBlanc and Galen Alexander have been served restraining orders stemming from an allegation of sexual assault, harassment and a subsequent burglary of the residence of the victim, according to court documents obtained by NBC Sports." James Akinjo, who is their second leading scorer at 13.4 along with 4.4 assists and 2.0 steals, transferred, and so did the aforementioned LeBlanc, who is fifth on the team averaging 7.2. Alexander averages 4.4, and Gardner averages 3.7. Neither of them have been disciplined by Georgetown, but even if they aren't disciplined, they lost 25.7 percent of their points this season from Akinjo and LeBlanc.

This sounds even worse than the troubles HU had the last season with Coach Mo. These young men squandered a chance to earn a degree from an excellent university. The players recruited by Coach Joe and his staff seem to be very nice young men. I remember that when Coach Joe took over, there were only four players left on the roster. How times have changed for HU, but it took a few seasons to completely recover from the poor choices of these young men.
