Check my math on this but if you throw out the first year (5-13), to date, we have 37 conference wins.

Over the same period Skerry has 32, Shaver 40, Grant 32, and Coen 32.

Case in point- Greens sr yr had Rok, JWF, and Buie as freshman and did not get anything useful out of them. No flashes of what they could be and help the team then, because Joe rides his favorites into the ground. He had no inkling that maybe JWF should have had some of BB's minutes? Shame on him for that.

Agree with the statement that JWF should have had some of BB's minutes but I think even JWF has stated as such that his defensive game was not where it needed to be. This was the reason he didn't play more. Last year I almost vacated my season tickets when I saw JWF not getting major minutes in the beginning of the year. I was really disgusted and had a feeling that there was a diamond in the rough here. Also Rok was a sophomore in Green's senior year not a freshman and Buie got minutes when Green was in foul trouble and most of the time played well. He played almost 13 minutes a game!!

JWF was a freshman when Bernardi was a junior. Bernardi led Hofstra shooting three-pointers .388 that season.

That's not how I remember it. His best year was as a soph and he was progressively worse at shooting the ball and defense his next two years.

I am with you, Cactus - as hard of a worker that he was - his level of play did not get better with time.

Cactus is correct. Bernardi declined slightly each year for whatever reason. I thought he had Antoine Agudio potential after his sophomore season so the expectations were high, but it didn't pan out. Can't knock his effort though. Glad we had him those 3 years, just wished he had maximized his potential on the court.

ah, thanks guys, guess I was thinking of that Soph season - one of them I recall he was fantastic.

Sr was brutal. Appreciate the heck out of him though, just wish he was used much differently that last year - could've had a much better season with more focused PT.

A couple things I thought were worth posting here.

Jacquil Taylor posted a team picture on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/BlyOZX5hgP9 ... gsquzc4898

Speedy got some fan mail sent to HU, he posted it in his Instagram story

Radovic and Schutte are still playing in Europe...they are not in the picture. Coburn is around...saw him at an alumni/supporter barbecue earlier in July...all is well.

Stumbled upon this article in The Chronicle. Looks like Rick Cole is making some positive strides with the staff. https://www.thehofstrachronicle.com/cat ... jr-feature
