Women’s basketball

Post by stuball888 »

An incredible comeback by our ladies against St Bonnie. They were down 13 points in the fourth quarter and beat StBonnie 71-68. Making her debut was Boogie Bozorski. She had plenty of rust to shake off. And didn’t her her stride until 5 minutes left in the game. Hopefully she will be the leader at poin

Once Boogie gets her game stamina up you will see a more solid game. Hey we had more assists than turnovers. That’s a start. While Boogies numbers offensively were not great. She had the defensive play of the game drawing a charge with 5 ticks leftin the game

Yeah saw some of the highlights of this game it was a remarkable come back and nice numbers for a lot of the players. I love watching Boogie play she brings intensity and makes the game look like fun!!

Super disappointing game at home against JMU tonight. This should've been a very winnable game. As I've said before, this team desperately needs a shooter, haven't really had one since Loftus. Hard to win games when you go on scoring droughts of 4+ minutes each quarter. Offense was almost non-existent in the second half. 6-17 for free throws tonight along with 18 turnovers.

Could not agree more If you hold a team to 55 points you should win we can’t cotinue to shoot 30 percent overall and about 20 from beyond the arc and expect to win

I while back Tori Harris Tobias Harris cousin came on a recruiting visit to Hofstra. I spoke to her father who told me that she will not come to Hofstra. they like coach Krista and out of respect to her they came. he told me that she plays in front of more people at her high school than fans that were in the stands for her visit. I think there were less than 100 in the stands. Tori wound up at JMU. Do you think we could use a 6ft0 guard on this team.

Held Drexel to 47 points on 31% shooting... and still lost.

Too bad JAM can't coach both teams' offense while Krista teaches both teams on defense.

Finally got that first conference win, 75-60 against Charleston. Second highest offensive output of the season (most in regulation). Olivia Askin led all scorers with 18 points, going a perfect 6-6 from the field, all from 3 point land.

Nice game for the women's team and great game for both Askin and Boogie who started and played all 40 minutes. She had a huge game 16 points and 10 assists. It's a whole new ballgame!!

Last two games we score 75 and 69 points. The way the team plays defense they will win most of their games scoring over 65 points

Congrats to Coach Kilburn-Steveskey on her 200th win!
The team somehow managed to pull out the win over CofC despite committing 26 turnovers.

Down to 8 players against JMU tonight. No Ashunae Durant for some reason, and Aleana Leon was just wheeled off the court after a JMU player pretty much crushed her. Didn't look good at all.
