Re: Biggest upset yet
NJIT doesn't even have a conference. I doubt anyone there knew they were Div I.
Re: Biggest upset yet
I think they are a PERFECT fit for the AE.
I really think the AE should stay in tact and add NJIT as the 10th team - that to me would be a conf of teams that fit well together.

That is a nice fit for NJIT. Also the MAAC would also be a good fit for them.

I could see more a school like Bryant or Sacred Heart or Robert Morris making a jump out of the NEC and NJIT filling that spot.

Stony Brook came back from down 15 with under 12 minutes left to win at Number 13 Washington who was undefeated, and Stony Brook was winless away before that.

On any given day a mid major can pull off that upset. Hopefully our win over SBU helps our RPI. Root like crazy for the teams we have played to win. With St Johns, Columbia, Iona. Hofstra and SBU having good years or projected to have good years there hopefully will be a buzz about our local basketball teams again.
Re: Biggest upset yet
In addition to what you named, Seton Hall is 22nd in the RPI. Manhattan, Monmouth, St. Peter's, and Marist are all below .500 contributing to the MAAC doing worse than usual.
