The Zone
First off, thank you for creating this board! I've been dying the past few months with nowhere to turn since the zone has been down. Anyone know what happened over there?

They claim they'll be back, but we got tired of waiting.

Re: The Zone
no offense but i am a sys admin and there should be no more than a couple of hours of downtime (where the board is in a read only state) to do something like that.

Re: The Zone
With Mason, ODU, VCU leaving the CAA and JMU now with their own board the "Zone" has lost about 75% of their hits on the board. It may not be profitable for these guys to run the board anymore.
Re: The Zone
While we're talking about things with a former connection to Hofstra, congrats to Mo Cassara on his wedding day.

Looks like the new CaaZone is finally here… not sure what's going on with the web address though. http://107.170.155.153/boards/
Re: The Zone
caazone.com is still down and the site is still only accessible via IP. i feel bad, those guys really need some assistance.
Re: The Zone
It's back, and the spambots seem to have found them. They seem to be having a major spam problem now.

Message from ZoneAdminstrator in the general thread in the zone:
I can appreciate folks' frustrations of not having the site available for an extended period. Believe me, I hoped that wasn't going to be the case. However, we're now on our own server, for $100 less per month. It was essential for us to downsize - we had grown to a point while VCU/ODU/Mason were still part of the CAA - and without that traffic we had to scale down to a more affordable set up.
Now that the move is done, I know we've lost some folks. I intend to win them back and new fans with superior service and features that a free board doesn't necessarily provide. We will add new features every few weeks that will make a difference. Other sites spinning off of CAAZone has been happening for years, and we always viewed it as inevitable. I'm happy that fans are able to build boards for themselves, but I do feel that a central hub of fans from all schools will continue to have a place.

Re: The Zone
I appreciate what they're trying to do at CAAZone, but they never responded to two emails I sent over the summer asking when the boards would be back. I'm staying here.

Re: The Zone
I for the most part will do the same. Like I said in previous posts the loss of VCU,ODU and GMU fans plus JMU having their own board has gutted the fan base of CAA Zone.com
Re: The Zone
I would also prefer to stay here
Re: The Zone
I'm going to post here because CAAZone doesn't have enough people.
