In their 47-41 loss at Northern Iowa, Evansville did not attempt a free throw. It's the fourth time that happened this season, and the second time it involved Northern Iowa, who did not attempt a free throw against Villanova. There have been 19 times since 2010-2011 that a team did not attempt a free throw, and Northern Iowa is the only team to play in more than one of those games. Since 1963-1964 every NBA team has attempted a free throw in every game.

Evansville attempted 49 field goals including 17 threes. Northern Iowa attempted 54 field goals including 22 threes, which means a higher percent of their attempts were threes than for Evansville.

34.7% of Evansville's attempts were threes, which is less than last season's NCAA average of 36.4%. Evansville had 14 points in the paint and made 5 out of 8 layups, but I don't know what the averages for those statistics are. http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=191327 has the statistics.

Canisius is at Monmouth and neither team attempted a free throw in the first half. There were 6 fouls. I wonder which is harder, one team not attempting a free throw in either half or both teams not attempting free throws in the same half.
