Dandola is a stud, she chose Hofstra over several schools, including Florida State and UCLA. Transfer Lydia Witkowski is already contributing a lot to the offense, and it's great to have Michaela Transue back.

We could have ended the game in the 5th and 6th innings but could not bring that 8th run across the plate

Bumped to the top. Lost in the JWF POY award is what Hofstra is doing down in Florida. We just took down the #25 Florida Gulf Coast 2-1 behind our freshman pitcher Sophia Dandola. Now after 6 innings Hofstra and #13 Florida State are scoreless . Cornell our soph pitcher has a gem going.

I honestly have to say that I don't really follow the softball team - but, WOW, maybe I should. What an impressive pair of victories in one day!!

Most years - Hofstra is a fun team (game to watch) - there best years have been (and seems to be again) when they have a local product in the circle. The current team has two girls - Sara Cornell and Sophie Dandola - that are playing at this level much better then I would have predicted - even they were dominate in the HS level (nice scouting/recruiting Coach A). Keep it up girls!

Ehhh, many of their best years were with Callie Osborne (Canada)/Adrienne Clark (Florida) and Kayleigh Lotti (Massachusetts) throwing for them.

Headed to extra innings against #6 Oregon with the score knotted at 1. Regardless of what the final result ends up being, this is a heck of a game, and proves that this team truly can compete with anyone.
