Siena is 0-5. They lost to div2 LeMoyne. They lost to Lehigh and florida Gulf coast by about 40 and just recently gave up 115 to Bucknell. We lose to this team and we have to re-evaluate this coming season. They are Horrible this year.

As you said this is a must win. Gustys and Sabety should be able to match up well in the front court. They did take CofC to OT so will be interesting to see how our game compares to that one.

Siena has a good coach in Jimmy Patsos and is real tough in their building where they typically draw large crowds. Hopefully most of the students are away for the holiday and the place will be less rowdy.

Now Husid let’s not start with excuses already. Good coach or not how do you give up 115 points to Bucknell.

Also explain away the loss to div2 LeMoyne

For what it’s worth, CofC was without one of their best players, Jarrell Brantley, for their game against Siena.

It was an exhibition.

Siena is very young, and I expect us to win handily, but they've been competitive, they have a similar talent level to us, and it's a good test for us early in the season. I expect us to play more man to man defense on Saturday.

Clareth had an absolute dud against us last season, I expect to see him look for a little redemption. Honestly I hope we get their best test, so we can get battle hardened for CAA play.

Yes Siena was competitive against div2 LeMoyne Lehigh and a depleted CofC team They lost by 27 to Bucknell while giving up 115. For Gods sake It’s Buknell not Duke.

Thanks for saying that because I didn't know their attendance was that high. In 2016-2017 they averaged 5,925, and the other 10 MAAC teams averaged 1,479. They got a higher average attendance than St. Peter's got for their 14 games combined. They got a higher average attendance than DePaul, who is in Chicago, in the Big East, and says they're the "largest Catholic university in the U.S." DePaul went 2-16 in the Big East, but Siena went 17-17 so it's not like they were one of the top mid-majors.

No excuses, just the facts...also interesting is that Joe's teams have played Siena more times than any other school in his career.

Siena and Niagara both upstate NY. they are about 4 hours away from each other. Considering where Niagara is thats pretty close. Only a bus ride away

And if we win by 20, we should not get overconfident.

This game will be a good test to see how much we developed from the Charlestown classic trip. After the kennessaw game that we won by like 20 Mihalich (and most of us) were critical of the sloppy play even with the big win. I am looking for us to prove that we learned from that game and the games verse the better competition in Charleston. A win is a must but I think we all should be more focused on how the team plays; keeping turnovers down, moving the ball well, solid bench/role player contributions, etc.

I watched the Knicks yesterday against the Raptors. Toronto is a good team with an 11-5 record coming in. Without Melo they are a much different team and are now fun to watch. Hofstra can take a lesson from them. Its all about ball movement and moving without the ball on offense. Its addition by subtraction. Also they ramped up the defense with halftime adjustments. Just like Barry Pearl did to us in our last game.
