Now up to 22 in the RPI, solid position to host a first-round NCAA game.

This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for this team. During our meeting in september he said he felt the team would be competitive in CAA play. Talk about understating things. Think he took a page out of Bill Edwards playbook. Congrats to Siomon and his staff anf Hofstra womens soccer team. Now make somn noise in the NCAAs

Since he went to the split goalies a while back, the D and goaltending have been solidified.

Great to see us win a CAA regular season championship and finish it off for an NCAA bid. Congrats to Simon and the entire team and program...Now let's get a couple of WINS!

So incredibly happy for this team and coaches! CAA titles are tough to come by these days so we should fully embrace this moment!

Looks like the women will be traveling to Auburn in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Apparently winning 12 in a row and having a top 25 RPI means you get to travel to a team with half as many wins and a worse RPI, and also puts you in a bracket with the #1 overall seed.

Stephen Gorchov confirmed on twitter that we did indeed put in a bid to host, so this is all on the NCAA.

Really sickening how NCAA always finds a way to screw Hofstra no matter what the sport is. This is almost as bad as 2015 softball getting sent to top overall seed Florida when we had a #13 RPI while James Madison hosted.

That is just sick. We deserve to host the good part is we may be able to win one game but then have to face the #1 overall seed

Here's their portion of the bracket, if anyone is interested.

In addition to Hofstra, I like Florida State. Stanford could eliminate my favorite teams consecutively.

Auburn barely over a 500 team. SEC got 9 teams in. That is the joke

It’s all about the money. The NCAA is more corrupt than any politician

Regardless of not getting a home game, I don’t think a team with an RPI of 23 should ever have to play a team with an RPI of 27 in a first round game when the field is 64. We should’ve been given an “easier” opponent. And I thought the NCAA likes to have first round games make sense geographically. Long Island to Alabama is not at all close, and HU fans won’t have any chance of being able to go to the game unless they happen to live in the area.

Hofstra was probably viewed as a good team to travel because of proximity to NYC airports. No excuse at all for this injustice though.

There are no airports near Auburn University cmon a team with an Rpi four points better made to travel. Who is paying for this. Hofstra or the NCAA
