Don't see a thread about this yet, but the ladies beat Stony Brook last night out east. Bumped their record up to 3-3-2. They made a goalie switch after the first few games, with Jenna Borresen getting the last three starts, and now hasn't given up a goal in 256+ minutes in net.

Good to see us beat another SBU team...what is our record this year? I think we beat them in volleyball and tied in men's soccer....so 2-0-1???? Keep it going PRIDE!

Women's soccer has won 8 straight against SBU. Volleyball has won 4 straight, with 3 of those 4 matches being 3 set sweeps, SBU has only won a measly 2 sets total in those 4 games.

Jenna Borresen and Ashley Wilson each made 2 saves, and posted Hofstra's 4th consecutive shutout. 360 minites without allowing a goal. Nice 2-0 win over the Blie Chickens to start conference play last night!

Another combined shutout last night, and the ladies move into first place in the CAA.

Another shutout in a 3-0 win over Towson today, to move to 5-0 in conference. 2 new goal scorers today, and that's part of what makes this team so dangerous.

They are outscoring teams 12-2 in conference play, and have now only given up 2 goals in their last EIGHT games. That's a hell of a streak. That being said, they've basically faced the bottom half of the league so far.

3-0 win vs JMU to move to 6-0 in conference. The team only allowed 1 shot on goal. They also broke the NCAA record for corner kicks in a game, with 26. The previous record of 23 was set in 2010.

Now 7-0, with yet another combined shutout in a 1-0 over a Northeastern team that most believed to be tops in the conference, and they were previously undefeated in CAA play. 1 more point and we win the regular season title. Hard to believe this team didn't even make it to the conference tournament last year.

Btw, with us knocking NU off the undefeated list tonight and with UNCW men finally losing last night, both Hofstra soccer teams are the only ones left to be undefeated.

The ladies finish the regular season 9-0, after a last minute win against CoC in SC.

So did we do enough to get a at large in case we don't win the Caa tourney

Hofstra is 30th in the RPI, and that could get worse if we don't win the CAA Tournament. There are 33 at-large bids, and if we don't win the CAA Tournament teams in better conferences with worse RPIs could be chosen over us. Hofstra is one of 15 teams with at least 7 road wins.

The CAA announced the tournament start times:

On Sunday William & Mary is at James Madison at 1:00 P.M. and College of Charleston is at Northeastern at time TBA.

On Friday November 3 at Hofstra, the College of Charleston vs. Northeastern winner plays Drexel at 4:30 P.M. and Hofstra plays the William & Mary vs. James Madison winner at 7:00 P.M.

On Sunday November 5 Hofstra hosts the Final at 1:00 P.M.

It definitely would have to involve them losing in the championship game to Drexel to even have a shot.

I disagree HH. Their RPI will still be in 30's even with loss in semis and that is enough to at least be on bubble in a 64-team field.

I hope you're right. I just feel like a loss in the semis will do them in.

It may and with Hofstra we know we can't count on NCAA doing us any favors. Hopefully we leave no doubt and hoist that trophy!

Anyone planning on going to the CAA tournament? Hofstra is doing a social media campaign today, A Day In The Pride, and as part of it, Coach Simon Riddiough rode around campus in a golf cart handing students free hofstra "swag" along with a flyer advertising the tournament. Hopefully that'll encourage some students to show up

I saw Hofstra's 1-0 win. Lucy Porter scored her third goal. Hofstra dominated in shots with 18 to William & Mary's 4, but the rest of the statistics were closer. Hofstra had more shots on goal (5 to 3), more fouls (9 to 8), fewer yellow cards (William & Mary had the only one), the same amount of corner kicks (3), and 1 fewer time offside (2 to 3).

Hofstra will face Northeastern on Sunday at 1:00 P.M. The Red Bulls and NYCFC will be in the MLS playoffs after that.
