Who schedules games like this

I noticed that SBU womens lax played two games only 17 hours apart. After beating Hofstra 19-4 friday night at 7Pm they played the following day at 12 noon. It did not seem to affect them as they beat Umass Lowell 20-4. I know this is not the norm but can anyone tell if this has been done before.
