The Sagarin, which doesn't include yesterday's games yet, think Villanova is 22.61 to 29.59 points better depending on what component you use.

That sounds about right to me, would figure 25-30 point win for them is very reasonable.

However, I am hoping for a less than 20 deal in order to save some face - believe Wright fully loves this school/program, and assuming the game ends up as out of hand as it figures to, he will allow HU to maintain dignity.

Now there is always the chance that this game goes whacky and HU truly is in it... stranger things have happened in college hoops. Highly unlikely, but you never know when the stars may align

With the 3 point shot anything can happen...we can get hot and keep it close for awhile or they can come out on fire and blow us out early...Knowing Jay, he will call off the dogs against us if that happens.

I don't know all that much about Villanova but will research this team as the game gets closer. After seeing them play the other day against Gonzaga ranked #12 I felt like they were just toying with them. They had players rotating in and out like they had a bench 30 strong. I think they could win by a lot but don't expect Hofstra to lay down for them. Players will get up for this game because their pride is on the line and this is a definite challenge.

Where we dont match up against Villanova are Brunsen and DeVinchenzo.

Looking to get a few tickets to this game. Is everyone sitting in the same section? Would be great to have a bunch of Hofstra fans together. Guessing Nova travels well.

Love it. That alone will provide ample national exposure from the game coverage/highlights alone.

Now, make a decent/good showing, add in the story lines, and the value goes up exponentially.

Important that HU shows up for this game and puts up a real fight.

Let our sports promo people get all over this with newsday too. We need as much exposure as we can get.

Stu - I know of StubHub, but have never used it. So how long (approx.) do you wait?? The day of, day before?? I have yet to buy, and certainly wont buy in the next few days if I can get significant savings next Wed, Thurs, or Friday.

To ProudofPride, Thanks for the link. That was the most favorable Newsday article about HU that has been written in a very long time. I still wonder, as I have posted on another thread, what would the HU basketball program be like now if TP did not take the Fordam job?

That is a GREAT STORY...It should be sent to EVERY RECRUIT we are talking to!!! I heard pre-games sale are very strong...something like 7,000 plus tickets sold. WE NEED MORE HOFSTRA FANS THERE!
