Re: Ibrahim Djambo
Still doesnt translate to auto start for him. Has to prove himself on the court and see if he fits into JAMs system. Either way he adds depth at the 4/5 position. he isnt shy about putting up treys.

Re: Ibrahim Djambo
Sorry just read about his one year at Clemson. He will still have to prove he will be better than Rokas and Walker.Putting up good numbers in JUCO is a lot different than d-1.

Re: Ibrahim Djambo
He will be a bench player who can play the 4/5. He will spell Rokas and Walker. All three players are interchangeable. Good part is that he will have 3 years of eligibility.

Re: Softball Coaching Staff
One of the hires should be Courtney Crews. She is working for the sports promotion dept and had coaching experience at East Carolina. If Adrienne Clark is not offered bring back Courtney Oliver.

Should be interesting. Who larissa will hire. A lot of turnover for our teams. This is a good move for Katie.

NCAA to experiment with a new softball
The NCAA will test a new softball during fall ball season. When Hofstra plays their fall exhibition schedule they will be using this experimental ball. The ball is softer but has more liveliness. This will favor the pitchers who have more movement on their ball. Liveliness will increase from 0.47 to...

Re: MBB recruits 2015
I will say this JAM has this staff recruiting all over the place. A far cry from TPs New York City recruiting classes.

Re: Womens basketball roster
Went by the basketball office earlier today. The men have their players on the wall and the womens team only had 7 players and no Andriana Thomas. Looks like it will be a transition year for us.

Re: Womens basketball roster
We now only have 7 players on the team now that Andriana Thomas is no longer on the team. We have only 3 freshmen coming in so the team will be very young this year with no seniors and only two juniors. Also 6ft3 Macenzie Kudron is gone.

Jojo has a quick release but starts his shot way to low. Almost shoots it off his shoulder.

Womens basketball roster
Question for those in the know, Why is the roster not up yet on the Hofstra website? According to a previous post Ruth Sherril and Alexis Carter left the team. Is Andriana Thomas still on the team? If those three are not on the team that is 3 players from the heralded recruiting class of a few years...

Re: Hofstra Drops SAT/ACT Requirement
Hofstra Pride 1 I dont know about enhancing the quality of students by dropping the SAT requirement. Here is another spin on it. I could be wrong but has Hofstra had a drop on applications the past year or so. This will probably enhance applications therefore increasing the pool of potential student...

Re: Hofstra Drops SAT/ACT Requirement
I hope you are right HH but there have been instances where schools dont have a good reputation such as Hempstead High school where grades have been pumped up. Also this can hurt the student as much as it helps

Practice and coach Mihalich
Spoke with coach today and made a suggestion he seemed to like. An open practice at the new practice facility with a "meet the team" scheme. Each player will give a brief summary about themselves with a question and answer session after a quick practice. Gives us a chance to get to know th...

Re: Hofstra Drops SAT/ACT Requirement
I think this is a bad move and was probably PC motivated. An example was my daughter and a friend of hers in another part of the country. Both students had similar grades but my daughter scored 400 points higher on her SATs when 1600 was the top score. Suffice to say this other girl struggled in col...
