Dumb question.
Can the team have any kind of practice during this pause? Hope they can maintain fitness for the potential 3 games in 3 days.
The tourney is completely wide open this year.

Re: Game #15 vs Towson
Burgess was pulled after winging a pass down low to Schuette who couldn't handle it.
He may have shown up Schuette on the play. He appeared to lose his cool and immediately he sat.

Re: Caleb Burgess may be the key
Yes I think with the main 3 players you know what you have and the range of performance from day to day. Everybody else is a work in progress. Cramer has a big upside with some holes in his game. Green is finding his way. The expectations were high and let's hope he can calm down and let the game co...

Caleb Burgess may be the key
Watching the season to this point I have come to the conclusion that Caleb Burgess may be the most important cog in the machine. The coach in the post game said when Burgess is good, he is one of the best point guards in the league. He needs to bring his A game every day, Arguably he is ahead of Des...

Re: MBB Recruits 2021
Of course this is complete speculation. He may have some ties to both Zion and Isaac Kante, since he also did one year at Putnam Science like Isaac did. Maybe he is homesick. Maybe he likes what he saw with Hofstra. Maybe I am dreaming, but he might be a nice addition.

Re: MBB Recruits 2021
Just added to the transfer list is a small forward named Winston from St Bonaventure.
He was a starter last year as a frosh. His minutes were way down this year. Will have 3 years of eligibility and was a teammate
of Zion Bethea in High School.

Re: An Early Kudos to Farrelly!
Very well put. Coach Joe has been amazing in every way for the program. We all should pray for a complete and speedy recovery. Also thank you for having such a good and loyal right hand man in MF. I am sure he has learned a lot under Coach M and the Coach respects his opinions. This year we had 4 ne...

Cowart is on the transfer list of Verbal commits
So I believe the staff should pursue a grad transfer point guard as a safety net for injury or slump to Burgess.
On another thread I mentioned a Columbia point guard from St Benedicts who is good. 2nd team All Ivy as a sophomore, injured last year. If not him, find another capable point for one year.

So if Cowart is officially gone, we could use another true point. (Burgess could be injured and then you're done.) Columbia has a very capable point guard who is a senior. Immediately eligible since the Ivy League has cancelled their season. The kid's last name is Stefanini and he is good. (The othe...

Fiftiespride you walked me down memory Lane. Boatwright was part of some terrific D2 teams. I am sure you remember Mike Pollack and Mike Tilley. they were maybe 6'2" tall and played under the basket. "Whitey Jakabauskas was a military vet about 28 years old on one of those teams. The amazi...

Re: Looking Ahead to 2020-2021 season
I am as pumped as all of you for this season. Lots of things to consider, I think we have a really deep team. Competition for playing time should be intense. With the new rules of transferring without sitting out it has become more player friendly. If you don't see playing time, you may want to consi...

The new world is not a very tolerant world. Say the wrong thing, offend the wrong side once and you can be done. CANCELLED!! You are not allowed to make a mistake when you are 22 years old. Most of us would have had more than one stupid act or deed at his age. I know I did some dumb things but the w...

The walk on is not Smith. Don't believe Smith is confirmed. Everybody else for now is still here (Trueheart,Silverio etal)The 12 players you see on verbal commits and a new walk on. Gibson is gone I am told.

So Connor K graduated and the other walk on left.
I see this young man as a walk on. Are we sure that he was offered a schoolyard?

Re: MBB Recruits 2020
I think the completion of this roster both for now and the future is a freshman big. (Not to redshirt). We had Hughes last season in a pinch when Kante and Schutte were in foul trouble. If either of the bigs gets hurt, one more big would really help. I don't know the status of the final 2 roster play...
