Re: MBB Game 17 - @ Elon - 1/10/15, 8 PM
All these wins are important, especially for the Conference Tournament seedings. The Notheastern game is a big game. NE is a top team, the end of a tough road trip and we have been struggling off the first tip.

Re: Media Thread
like I said, SOS is meaningless this yr, just keep winning, keep gaining national attention, and parlay that into recruiting to build a mid major power program THAT is what this staff and player foundation is all about IMO The VCU's, ODU's, Witchita St's, etc were all just like HU not that long ago...

Re: MBB Game 15 - Delaware - 1/5/15, 7 PM
Green struggled with his shot and didn't look himself with sloppy passes - looked sick and as it turns out was - so all things considered a gritty performance. If we was on HU would have won by 20. Gusty's is raw but a physical presence almost like a roadblock with opponents bouncing off him left a...

I swear Gustys just missed a shot on purpose (recorded another O-rebound) and put it back in.daHUPride wrote:Gustys could break two records tonight - rebounds and missed shoots - in less the 2 minutes Gustys must have 5 rebounds just by following his own missed shots. Sloppy.

I expect a big win tomorrow night from HU. Gustys makes a big difference for us and another DNP out Walker.

Starting to think Walker is in the JAM dog-house. 6 minutes in a blowout win (its his 3rd game in a row that he played 6 or less minutes) - he started the year off playing 15-20 minutes in the first 6 games or so - said it before - but I just don't get it.

Glad we won and played OK today. One thing I don't understand is why does JAM not give Walker and Gonzalez more playing time in blowout games like this. He plays Green and Tanksley 35+ minutes and we win by 25. These are exactly the types of games where we can afford to get the freshman time on the...

Re: MBB Game 11 - LaSalle - 12/23/14, 4 PM
Injuries are making to many guys play out of position. IF Gustys and Kone aren't hurt - I think that those two playing the 5 and 4 slots and Tanksley and Nicols playing the 3 we have a front court that makes us so much more competitive; as opposed to Nicols and Tanksley playing 4 and 5 and Bernardi ...

I have a FULL day of work, killing me, wanted to be at this game... No excuses for HU, injuries or not - they need to win this game - time to prove they can beat a good team from a good conf - come out firing, play tight D, stay aggressive, protect your house, and get a solid W ROLL PRIDE!! Cant ge...

By the way, Buie and Wright-Foreman are ripping it up - these kids are potential major STARS for HU Buie is averaging somewhere around 20 pts, 10 assists, 5 boards, 5 steals per game - Wings is 6-0, ranked #2 in NYC Wright-Foreman I don't have his exact stats but most recaps I've been able to read ...

I agree with HH, "hasn't been a bad game since NCS"..no big upset defeats and "its been good". They are finding themselves and their rolls and they are trending up. AND with the squad as it is now, other then Nesmith (since Kone has played all of 5 minutes), they are all back nex...

Very impressed with Hofstra. I don't know much about volleyball but what I saw we were not outclassed nor outplayed, Nebraska was just a bit bigger a bit faster a bit better and purr girls stayed with them.
Congrats to you girls, well done.

Re: MBB Game 07 - Norfolk State - 12/2/14, 7 PM
They are going to be tested, for sure. A front court of Tanksley, Nicols and Bernardi is going to be out rebounded 9 out of 10 times. Do they create match up issues at the other end, not as much as I think they'll be beat up on the defensive end. They play hard now, but like I said before, would lov...

Re: MBB Game 07 - Norfolk State - 12/2/14, 7 PM
Hope these injuries to our bigs isn't for long. Would like to see Nicols and Tanksley playing more in the "3" slot then being forced to play "D" in the post (along with Benardi). I, personally, don't have a great feel for this team yet, but do expect them to win. Although I haven...

Re: Kone and his cane
This squad needs Kone. Yes it is good for our bigs to get some experience but Kone brings strength and experience. Plus right now JAM can't take much of a chance playing Gustys and Walker together, and go big. However with Kone you can go big Gustys or Walker, Kone and Niclos or Tanksley.
