Re: Game#6 Siena

Lots of venting and rightfully so. Lets not be so quick to throw the entire coaching staff under the bus. Clearly there's been success over the years and that's not just a coincidence. I watched Speedy play over the years and know he brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. All those people who ar...

Re: Game#6 Siena

OK so let's get buckled in guys because this could be a long season. I've said recently that the keys to this team are our defense and our PG play. This game was indicative where are improvements need to be made. Their freshman PG had almost as many assists as our whole team(11/13). Our PG's had a t...

Re: Men's Basketball RPI Predictions From RPI Forecast

I don't think about THE NIT trying to stay focused on one thing and that's the NCAA's. A tough road with a lot of speed bumps. Two years ago JM complained big time about having to play on the road against George Washington. We had a higher RPI than GW from what I believe and certainly would have had...

Re: Men's Basketball RPI Predictions From RPI Forecast

I not sure what all that statistical nonsense is but if they lose 8 games in the conference I would be disappointed. The conference has tough teams from top to bottom so there really is no easy games. I still say the jury is out on their PG play and for me that's the whole enchilada. It's clear that...

Re: Game 5 - Auburn

Both of these guys don't really have much of a mid range game and nothing beyond the arc. Obviously the trend is to have bigs that can shoot beyond the arc and not playing with their back to the basket. These guys are at a premium and I imagine that's the reason that everybody is signing players out...

Re: Game 5 - Auburn

Lots of really good observations and insight into these games. My feeling is they were beat by bigger better and more athletic teams. In the Clemson game where there was very little room for error they had seven block shots to our ZERO! In the Auburn game Auburn had six blocked shots to our ZERO! In...

Re: MBB Recruits 2018

I was also hoping that Angus will be that guy blocking shots grabbing rebounds and getting put backs. An enforcer type guy and he clearly has the size at 6' 6" and 240 he's a big boy.

Re: Midnight madness

No mention of any major injuries by Mihalich during the Masons coaches report with Stephen Gorchov on Monday. I did see Wormley with a bandaged leg during Midnight Madness and he didn't appear to participate that night nor did Angus!

Re: Midnight madness

I personally didn't see Angus even get on the basketball court and noticed that Wormley had his leg bandaged up. He didn't partake much in the on court stuff.

Re: MBB Recruits 2018

Good info. We need to get some big bodies to replace Gustys, Sabety and Angus.

Re: MBB - Exhibition @ Fairfield, 10/23 7 pm

I haven't posted before but have been watching Hofstra basketball since the mid 70's. My take on the exhibition game vs. Fairfield. Based on http://www.collegesportsmadness.com/mens-basketball/top-144-previews Fairfield is ranked #107 in the country while HU is ranked 133. I don't know much about th...
