Re: Hofstra vs. Charleston, Sunday, 3/6/22, 8:30 PM

Best of luck to Caleb and Kvonn, solid representatives of the program! Definitely more surprised Burgess transferred, but Speedy was recruiting over him. I thought Caleb improved every year, but he was just inconsistent. Obviously in the shooting department, but really in all aspects of his PG play,...

Re: Hofstra vs. Charleston, Sunday, 3/6/22, 8:30 PM

This years team was dying for a big man who could work off a pick and roll and move the ball from the post. If we have a guy like Rok on this team we could have won the league. No frontcourt presence made us too one dimensional offensively at times, and made us cheat inside defensively, which led us...

Re: Hofstra vs. Charleston, Sunday, 3/6/22, 8:30 PM

I think we were fairly weak and undermanned inside, That’s an understatement! We had three forwards, each playing only one one leg. I’m kind of shocked we didn’t get more exploited for our weakness inside, it’s maybe the worst frontcourt Hofstra has ever rolled out there, despite great efforts from...

Re: Hofstra Lacrosse 2022

I know this is a broken record but nobody can win here NOBODY, Bill Tierney, Petro or Vince Lombardi could not win here. Expensive school, crap location, crap campus high cost to live off campus in crap areas and a good but not great academics. the top tier LI kids do not want tp stay home and it i...

Re: Charles Jenkins Pep Talk

Great pep talk from Charles. Tremendous asset to have such a class act part of our program. I haven't commented about this team this year, but they lack identity. It's a new coaching staff, major roster turnover, inherent deficiencies in the frontcourt, etc. so I expected it would take some time to ...

Re: mens and Womens BB attendance

I didn't renew season tix for the first time in 7 years, partially because I got a new gig which meant I would miss home games for a good portion of the season, but also because I didn't want to deal with the inevitable restrictions/cancellations. I was finally able to get to my first game on Thursd...

Class act, Champion. Love that he is taking advantage of the extra year of eligibility to finish a masters of his choosing.

Re: So who will Speedy add to his staff

Good hire, I like what Speedy has done to make the program "his" in short order. I think we have a very good staff. Clement and DePaoli were excellent hires who are up and coming potential HC's. Parrotta back in the fold is the perfect fit for the staff, he was here with Pecora's best team...

Is this the first NCAAT for the women's team? Congrats to the team for breaking through!

Re: So who will Speedy add to his staff

Thats the one I have been touting Great get He develops big men and was responsible for recruiting Uter Kiaza and Pitizi who the heck is Pitizi? I’ve followed Hofstra since 2000, and Im drawing a blank on this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm assuming Stu meant Brian Sisti. I like the hi...

Re: 2021 Men's Lacrosse

Towson is in the same boat that we are in terms of recruiting a hotbed, and they've broken through. The men's lacrosse team has choked in every big situation for a decade straight, we can't win a meaningful game in the CAA. It's crossed over from frustrating to embarrassing years ago. Yes the player...

Re: Hofstra Golf

Why do you think we have golf? It's to help the CAA maintain minimum requirements to have a conference affiliation with the sport. Probably Title IX implications as well. The sport needs a wealthy donor to invest money to make it an attractive place to play. It will be hard to get people to play for...

Re: So who will Speedy add to his staff

I'm really surprised at the severe lack of faith I'm seeing on this board in Speedy since yesterday as if Speedy picked up absolutely nothing in close to the same amount of time spent as an HU assistant as Pecora did before he became an HU head coach. Where were the same kinds of questions when Pec...

Re: Coaching search

I mean I love Speedy but dang, a real, et tu, brute move to Farrelly. Best of luck to him. He probably didn't deserve that ending, but when you lose by 18 to ELON in the semifinals, the door opens for these types of decisions. Seems like a weak move by Cole, but this decision reeks of political and ...

Re: Jerry Beach's Article About the End of the ECC

Good article, always wondered about that last ECC season. Any reason we hung onto the ECC for so long? Football reasons? Our football team was beginning to prosper as an Independent at that time.

Re: Coaching search

If they just remove the interim tag from Farrelly, the "national search" was a farce, and the school cannot afford to pay Joe in his advisory role and a HC. I would assume that's how it goes.
