Absolutely. If I had to guess, D-Stone will be headed for USC.

100% agree. I don’t think JC is quick enough to play “up”, however, only one way to find out.

Re: NCAA 2024 MBB Transfer Portal

I honestly think in this state of College MB, Speedy can thrive as a recruiter and a coach. Charleston imploding is a spark for us. Don’t be surprised if JC or DD exit the portal back to Hofstra. Would love it but I doubt it. That would suggest they both left because they thought they couldn't get ...

Re: NCAA 2024 MBB Transfer Portal

I may be the odd man out here, and I do appreciate what Carlos did, however, I’m not sad to see him go. I don’t see Carlos as an explosive guard - he’s always seemed a step slow to me. But hey, what do I know. On that note, I wish him the best in his next stage.

Re: NCAA 2024 MBB Transfer Portal

This whole new world with the Portal and NIL is destroying college basketball as we know it. I'm a huge fan of the game and I loved watching us bring in young kids who developed into great players; i.e. Charles Jenkins, Justin Wright-Forman, etc. That is all gone now and I'm beginning to lose my pa...

Re: Estrada @ Alabama

Huge, my niece will be there as well - she's had an absolute blast at Bama, graduating this May, very excited to be there to congratulate her. Is your daughter at Bama, or visiting for UT? She’s a freshman and absolutely loving it! Never in a million years did I think I’d cheer for Alabama, but her...

Re: Estrada @ Alabama

Yeah, that's been a huge topic over the years - is it better to elevate or better to try and dominate an easier path. All I know is I want more NCAAT appearances more frequently. I don't care where that is quite honestly. There is SO much to say on this, but will refrain here as I don't want to mud...

Re: MBB Game 31 @Charleston, March 2 (Sat), 2 PM

The last time we went to the CAA finals was in 2020 when we won it and punched our ticket. The rest of that story we all know no sense rehashing it right now. No, not finals… I know that better than most. I graduated in 2001 and have missed a total of 10 games at most… and that’s living halfway acr...

Ain’t that the truth. When did we get bounced game one for us - wasn’t that year one under speedy?

Re: MBB Game 31 @Charleston, March 2 (Sat), 2 PM

Need some rest and absolutely need to find Heavy minutes from the bench in our first game of tournament. Need Farmer, Washington, Robinson and Sunday to show up to give us a shot at beating Charleston. I think it’s doable, but not if we only go 7 deep up to the ship. Do that and it’s business as usu...

Re: Estrada @ Alabama

Pride vs Tide would be incredible! Ah yes, Cornell - that was a tough loss - but she showed her stuff in the SEC, can't blame her. I'm all for HU feeding P5's (future P2) with talent - it's a good place for a quality mid major to be today - we can sell the heck out of that to recruits. Having guys ...

Re: Estrada @ Alabama

I do see this as a positive or glass half full - I have no issue developing players to get them to the big stage. Until they make drastic changes to NIL or more importantly “pay to play”, we will be a stepping stone for some kids, just like Kentucky and Kansas are for the NBA. Many of those kids onl...

Men's basketball recruiting 2023-24

With my daughter a freshman at Alabama, I’ve come to realize one thing. Every mid major is now the stepping stone to the power 5. You walk around Bama’s campus and realize we simply cannot compete dollar wise, and this is a school that’s BEHIND in NIL. Texas A&M, Washington, Oregon, USC…. These ...

Re: Estrada @ Alabama

Think we could have used him - completely different team with than without - Conference Champs [emoji53] Even though down the stretch last year he wasn't quite the two-time POY we saw, just having him on the floor, having opposing defenses have to worry about him, made Thomas' job easier and made T...
