Unfortunately that does not translate into wins.

Re: Tom Pecora
I hope we go after Severe and Paschall. Specifically Severe who was horribly mismanaged during his time at Fordham. Paschall may be the higher level player, but I think he will jump to a major program.

Re: CIT & CBI Selection Thread
We will be lucky if there are 1,000 people at the Mack on Wednesday. This is a good tournament for us because I don't believe we played enough quality opponents this year. Not that this field looks great or anything, but if we win a few games, we will get some more elimination games under our belts ...

Re: 2015 Pride Mens Lacrosse
Flying Dutchman with all due respect. You said we should not get upset losing 1 or 2 goal games to quality teams in February. Only problem is we are losing to unranked teams. Georgetown is a mediocre team at best. Ohio State is unranked . Princeton the score was closer than the way the game went. I...

From a Staten Island news article that focuses on Bernardi in yesterday's game: "The Pride is hoping their 20-win record will earn them a post in one of the lesser post-season tournaments." http://www.silive.com/sports/advance/gordon/index.ssf/2015/03/islander_brian_bernardi_lights.html T...

Re: Hofstra to the MAAC?
Prefer the CAA and our athletic relationship with Drexel, Towson, Delaware, and Northeastern. I consider the CAA schools peer institutions based on our academic goals as well. MAAC would be a very good fit in basketball. I think we could become a dominant program in the MAAC based on our facility ad...

Re: MBB Game 33 - CAA Semifinals - W&M - 3/8/15, 2:30 PM NBC
Really proud of this team, they played their asses off this weekend, especially our Seniors, Dion and Moussa killed it this weekend, played at the highest level I've ever seen them play. We were very lucky to have those high-character guys in the program the past few years. That was the most heartbr...

Re: MBB Game 32 - CAA Quarterfinals - JMU - 3/7/15, 2:30 PM
We're definitely on the better side of the bracket, Northeastern is the one team I would not like to see us have to play, just not a great matchup for us. I mean we really have to beat JMU this time. We squandered the game at home against them, and we had that awful referee from the Northeastern and...

Re: 2015 Pride Mens Lacrosse
Is that you Seth? Yeah, you're right, nothing to worry about, business as usual  You've come to that analysis due to 1 win against a cake walk manhattan team - that's nice I've learned over the past 9 friggin yrs that ST teams lose close games every single season - EVERY ONE - somehow he is o...

Re: 2015 Pride Mens Lacrosse
We're the better team in the next seven games, five being home games. Let's see where we stand after that stretch. Sorry, I just cannot get worked up about losing one and two goal games, in February, against quality teams. Barring running the table until the CAA Championship game, I don't think an a...

Re: 2015 Pride Mens Lacrosse
It's going to become much harder to compete at the top level of D-1 with all the football schools creating programs that are backed by huge TV profits, and that are, lets face it , schools that L.I. students love attending. Which is why you NEED to establish things (again) before it gets too far ou...

Re: 2015 Pride Mens Lacrosse
And if my aunt had..... nevermind. You can't blame losing that many close games on just bad luck. I agree, and that's my point, but is it really the coaching holding the program back, or is the program overachieving and we do not even realize. We're sitting right in the middle of the best lacrosse ...

Re: 2015 Pride Mens Lacrosse
Back to lacrosse, I think that most agree that the recruiting and the players isn't completely the issue. They have plenty of good ones out there who just need someone pushing them the right way. Tierney's pretty good, I mean Hofstra is not an elite Lax school like we want to believe, but we've rem...

Re: MBB Game 29 - W&M - 2/22/15 - 4:30 - NBC Sports
While yes, I was serenading the referees off of the court last night, and there were some questionable calls from my vantage point at the end of the game, they let us play for the vast majority of the game which is all we can ask for. We were outcoached yet again last evening. Nichols sat way too fr...

Re: MBB Game 28 - @ Towson - 2/18/15
Funky game, solid comeback and win. 51 fouls is just ridiculous, it looked like this officiating crew was trying to prevent the spread of flu, because if you sneezed around anybody tonight, it was a personal foul. I did a little research, and apparently there is a whole website dedicated to referee ...

Re: MBB Game 28 - @ Towson - 2/18/15
Towson announcers: "He's (meaning Tanksley) got 8 points to lead the TRIBE". My ears are grinding from the pronunciation of Kone (Koneyay). And one announcer keeps laughing about how we're just chucking up threes. LOL. Yeah, it looks like Nesmith is wearing #20 tonight as well. Jeez, hope...

Re: MBB Game 28 - @ Towson - 2/18/15
I smell redemption in Towson tonight. They're really not a bad matchup for us, we just came out very flat at home. This is a crucial game for us, we can still easily finish top two or three considering we still have games with W&M and JMU. I like that we've become less reliant on the 3 ball the ...

Re: MBB Game 26 - Northeastern - 2/12/15, 7 PM
Agree on recruiting - we need more talent. With two guard commits already, I really hope that one of the remaining two slots is for a 6'8" or bigger scoring guy (since Djambo is one year and done). In any case, we are left hoping for continued good effort on the court along with a hot streak i...
